Blinded By The Light: Current Highlight Collection + Declutter

Blinded By The Light: Current Highlight Collection + Declutter

Hey Beauty Fam! Hope you all had a great weekend ❤

Today I thought it would be fun to go through my highlight collection and attempt to declutter it. I want to get rid of at least 1 highlighter. However, this will be difficult because I’m a highlight junkie and have attachment issues to my makeup. I find myself never being able to declutter. I am trying to get better with it, so I thought I would take you on this journey with me.

1. Jeffree Star Skin Frost Highlighter In Eclipse IMG_20170507_194353This is my newest highlighter. When I first got it I wasn’t too sure about it. It has a very unique formula that I am not used to. I thought it was glittery, patchy, and had a ton of fallout. But then I realized you need to use a light hand with the swatches and applying it to the face. Once I used a light hand, it is the most beautiful peachy blinding highlight. It has become one of my favourites. Definitely not decluttering this one!

2. Ofra Cosmetics Highlighter In Rodeo Drive IMG_20170425_161405I got this highlighter in April’s Boxycharm. It is amazing! It is so smooth and feels like butter. It is so finely milled that it doesn’t emphasize texture and almost looks wet on the face. It is blinding, but in the most beautiful way! This is another one of my favourites and I’m not going to declutter it.

3. Wet N Wild Coloricon Bronzer In Reserve Your Cabana IMG_20170507_195007This is actually a bronzer, but it is light enough to be a highlighter. I bought this based off of Kathleen Light’s recommendations. I really wanted this to work for me, but my skin tone is pretty much identical to it. It doesn’t have much of a glow to it either. For skin tones deeper than mine, it would work amazingly as an all-over the face brightener. Therefore, as much as I wanted it to work, I will be decluttering it.

4. Milani Strobelight Instant Glow Powder In DayglowIMG_20170507_194549This was another highlighter that I wasn’t too sure about at first. I was kind of turned off by the hard texture of it. However, after putting it on the face a few times I fell in love. It gives the skin a gorgeous golden glow without emphasizing any texture on the face. It isn’t blinding, but it gives the face a “glow within” look to it. This is another highlighter that I won’t be decluttering.

5. Wet N Wild Megaglo Illuminating PaletteIMG_20170507_194633I honestly have no idea why I have’t got rid of this yet. It barely shows up on the skin and it is super rough and glittery. I can’t even use the darker shades as eyeshadow because it doesn’t stick to the face or eyelids because it is so patchy and glittery. As you can see by the swatch it doesn’t show up very well at all. This was an 8 swipe swatch. This is the second highlight that I will be decluttering.

6. Vintage By Jessica Liebeskind Illuminating Face Palette In Rose Quartz and Chocolate DiamondIMG_20170508_121201This palette was included in one of my Boxycharm boxes. These highlighters are beautiful! They give you the most beautiful natural summer glow. I’ve got so many compliments every time I wear these highlighters. They don’t emphasize any texture and are silky-soft to the touch. I will definitely be keeping this one in my collection.

7. Pixi By Petra Highlight/ Blush Duo (Got it in my Ipsy bag one time)IMG_20170507_194824This highlighter is another beautiful one, but I honestly don’t reach for it very often. It gives you the most beautiful natural glow, and is very smooth and silky. I never use the blush side because it is too shimmery for my liking. I think I am going to go ahead and declutter this one because I have other highlighters that I love way more.

8. Essence Pure Nude HighlighterIMG_20170507_194907This highlighter is another one of my favourites. I wear this on an every-day makeup basis. It gives me the most amazing natural glow. It gives you that “glow from within” look. The best part is the fact that it is the most affordable highlighter in my collection. This is another one that I will not declutter.

9. Physician’s Formula Shimmer StripsIMG_20170507_195047I love this highlighter! It feels like silk, and it glides on the skin effortlessly. I either mix together the top left 4 or the top right 4 depending on what type of look I am going for. It isn’t a blinding highlight but it gives you more than just a natural glow. I am definitely keeping this one too!

I actually surprised myself and I was able to get rid of 3 highlighters! I am really happy with my highlighter collection, and I am glad that I was able to get rid of the ones that I never reach for! I hope you all enjoyed coming on this highlighter declutter with me!

Thank you so much for reading, Until next time,

Pretty In Turquoise: How To Make Any Colour Eyeshadow Wearable

Pretty In Turquoise: How To Make Any Colour Eyeshadow Wearable

Hey Beauty Fam!

For today’s post I thought it would be nice for me to share a very simple beauty tip of mine. ❤

A year ago, you would have never caught me wearing any coloured shadow on a day-to-day basis. The only eyeshadows that I would wear were neutral, brown shades. The only time I would wear coloured eye shadow was for strictly the purpose of playing with makeup then washing it off right after.

Over time, I gradually started introducing colour into my everyday makeup look. I find that if I follow the same routine, I can literally wear any colour shadow and make it look natural for everyday wear. The following tutorial that I am about to do for you will work for any colour of choice! I just picked turquoise because it is my favourite right now!img_20170428_003008

  1. Prime your eyelid with any primer/ concealer. Set it with any skin-toned powder. Take any matte light-medium brown from your collection and buff it into the crease as a transition shade. This is very versatile. If you look better with cool tones, just choose a cooler-toned brown or a grey instead.
  2. Take the colour of your choice and pack it on the inner and outer sections of your eyelid to create a halo effect.
  3. Take a small amount of the colour on a small crease brush and blend the eyeshadow on the lid up into the lower part of the crease. The tip with this is to not blend it too high. You want it to blend seamlessly into the transition shade, but you want the brown to still stand out on it’s own. Next, take a second colour of choice that matches the first. I would go for a lighter or more bold colour in this step to give the eye some dimension. Lightly pack this on the centre of the eyelid and blend it into the first colourful shade.
  4. Go back into your matte brown shade and pick up a small amount on a blending brush. Buff this into the crease just above the colourful shades to make sure that everything is blended out. The tip is to blend, blend, blend! If you accidentally blend away some of the colour on the lid, just go back in and pack on more colour.
  5. Take any highlight shade of choice and place it into the inner corner of the eye. Take the matte brown shade and smudge it out on the lower lash line along with a small amount of the colourful shade. Finish the look off with any mascara of choice. Feel free to add eyeliner and falsies too! I always like to pair a colourful eye with a nude lip for a more natural everyday look.

As you can see, the finished eye look turned out to be very natural. However, when you blink, or look down you can see a beautiful pop of colour. I would play around with a bunch of different colours and matte neutral shades to see which combinations best suit you.

I hope this mini tutorial was helpful for those who want to start playing with colour for something different but are afraid to. If you would like to see more tutorial/ beauty tip posts, leave me some requests below!

Thank you so much for reading, Until next time,

Brother-Sister Duel: Battle of the Marc Jacobs O!Mega Bronzers

Brother-Sister Duel: Battle of the Marc Jacobs O!Mega Bronzers

Hey beauty fam! I Hope you are all having a good day so far!

For today’s blog post I thought it would be fun to compare the two Marc Jacobs O!Mega Bronze Perfect Tans: The permanent Tantric and the limited edition Tan Tastic. They both retail for $59 CAD ($49 USD) and have 0.8 oz worth of product. The limited edition Tan Tastic was extremely hard to get because it kept selling out almost immediately. The questions that a lot of people are asking include: Is it worth the hype and struggle to get your hands on? How similar are the two? Will Tan Tastic give you the same look and finish on the skin as Tantric?

Well I am here to give you an in depth comparison to help you decide if it is worth getting the original because the limited edition one is sold out. If you don’t want to read this whole post, scroll to the end where I quickly bullet point my findings.

Disclaimer: remember that makeup is so personal and it may not work for some people who I suggest these products to. These are just my personal generic findings and opinions ❤IMG_20170430_150151Right away you can see that both bronzers are in the exact same packaging, just different colours. Tantric has the black packaging and Tan Tastic has the white packaging. They are both extremely huge, and have a luxury feel to them. They both include a huge mirror, in which you can see your entire head in.

When you look at the two side by side you can see that Tan Tastic is a bit more cool toned than Tantric. Tan Tastic smells like coconut, although it isn’t that strong of a scent. You don’t notice it at all when you go to apply it to your skin. With that being said, the coconut infusion does claim to have added skin care benefits such as re-hydration. Let’s get into the swatches to see if the formula is the same.

Tan Tastic on the left, Tantric on the right

As you can see, the shades look extremely similar on the fingers. You can still tell that Tan Tastic (on the left) is slightly more cooler-toned than Tantric. They honestly feel the exact same! Very smooth, just like silk. They are both equally as finely milled.

Tan Tastic on the left Tantric on the right

When you swatch them on your arm side by side, the difference in shades show up more realistically. Tan Tastic is definitely more cool-toned and Tantric pulls quite a bit more orange. When applied to the skin, they both blend out super easily. On my skin, you can definitely see that Tan Tastic pulls more cool than Tantric.

Both shades look and work beautifully on my fair-neutral skin, even though they are noticeably different. I am lucky because my neutral skin tone doesn’t emphasize the orange undertone in Tantric. It looks very natural on me. However, I can definitely see how on fair-pink skin tones it could pull quite orange. I would say that in general, Tan Tastic, the limited edition one works better on fair skin tones, where as Tantric works better on more tanned or fair-neutral skin.

So the question is: should you pick up the permanent Tantric bronzer because the limited edition one is sold out? It really depends on your skin tone to be honest.

  1. The formula feels the EXACT same! Even though Tan Tastic is infused with coconut. I honestly don’t feel a difference between the two on my skin so I don’t think the coconut one has any extra benefits.
  2. They both blend out beautifully and wear all day long.
  3. They both make me look like i’ve come back from vacation in the most natural way.
  4. Even though they swatch pretty similar, it is the undertone in each that makes all the difference!
  5. Tan Tastic is definitely made for fair to medium skin with pink undertones. So for these people it isn’t worth buying the original Tantric bronzer unless you are planning to use a super light hand.
  6. Tantric works beautifully on fair-neutral skin tones and medium/ tanned individuals.
  7. I honestly can’t speak for dark or olive skin tones because I had no one to test them on. However, from eyeballing it and experience with makeup, I can see both being too light as a contour shade for darker skin tones. I can see Tantric, the original one working nicely on olive skin tones. All of you with these skin tones, please correct me if I am wrong! ❤

So which one do I like best? The limited edition Tan Tastic! It is honestly just because I’m a sucker for white luxurious packaging and I love the smell of coconut. However, when this one runs out, I won’t be upset because I know that Tantric also works well for me.

If any of you have either of these bronzers, what do you think? I would love product feedback from you all!

Thank you so much for reading, Until next time.

Get Ready With Me: Sephora First Impressions

Get Ready With Me: Sephora First Impressions

Hey Beauty Fam!

I finally got around to testing out every product that I got in the Sephora VIB Sale! I thought I would share my thoughts and show you the look that I created and how I did it. I posted this look to Instagram right after creating it, and I got a bunch of DM requests to do a tutorial. It also just so happens that I tested all of the new products for the first time in this look. So here it is, a tutorial on this highly requested look ❤

The following products were put to the test:

  1. Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette
  2. Marc Jacobs O!Mega Bronze Perfect Tan Bronzer: Tantric
  3. Kat Von D Tattoo Eye Liner In Trooper
  4. Sephora Cream Lip Stain In Marvelous Mauve

This is the look that I created with all of these productsIMG_20170428_164311IMG_20170428_161655

1. Modern Renaissance Palette

This was my first time using the palette after swatching it. The swatches are available in my Sephora VIB Sale Haul post. Click Here! After how impressed I was with the swatches I couldn’t wait to dive right in! I started this look off with the eyes. I first primed my lids using the Tarte Shape Tape concealer. I then did the following (The numbers shown on the palette correspond to the list):Modern Renaissance Tutorial 1

  1. Tempera: Set my concealer all over the lid up to my brow bone. At the end of the look I used this as a brow bone highlight.
  2. Raw Sienna: Buffed this into the crease as a transition shade. I took this shade quite high, almost to the brow bone.
  3. Buon Fresco: Using a more defined crease brush I built this up in the crease, blending it upward into Raw Sienna. I kept building it up until I got a beautiful mauve-purple that stood out; making sure I blended, blended, and blended!
  4. Vermeer: I packed this on the entire lid making sure I didn’t go up into the crease. It was so pigmented that I did not need to wet my brush to make it pop. I also packed this on heavily in the inner corner. I wanted a light base for what I actually used as an inner corner colour to make it bright and pop.
  5. Cyprus Umber: I packed this on the outer V of the eye making sure I blended it into the lid shade and the crease shade.
  6. Love Letter: I blew this out using a pencil brush on the lower lash line. I brought this down quite low as I wanted it to look really pink and give the look a pop of colour.
  7. Realgar: I placed a small amount of this on the inner corner of the eye on top of the Vermeer shade that I previously placed down. This make the orange brighter and stand out beautifully.

On first impressions, these eyeshadows are amazing!! The only downfall is that there is a TON of fallout on the face and kickback in the pan. I highly suggest using a light hand when dipping the brush into the eyeshadow and tapping the excess off. After doing that, I didn’t have as much fallout or kickback. With that being said, the pigmentation and buttery feeling of these shadows are 100% worth it. I didn’t even need to wet my brush to make them stand out! They are so easy to blend on the eye. I have never been able to create a detailed look so quickly! The shade range in this palette is amazing. There is a shadow for everyone! You have a great mixture of mattes and shimmers and also warm and cool tones. Right now, I am loving the mauve purple. it is by far my favourite shade! What is your favourite shade in the palette? Let me know in the comments below!

2. Marc Jacobs O!Mega Bronze Perfect Tan Bronzer: TantricIMG_20170426_214202After doing my eyes, I took a makeup remover wipe and carved out a straight edge to make a wing-like effect. I then went ahead and did my face makeup up until the point of bronzer. On first impressions this bronzer is amazing!! It warmed up my skin in this look beautifully without making me look orange or muddy. The pan is huge so it was super easy to get a big bronzer brush in it. There was very little kickback, and it glided on my skin seamlessly. The powder is very finely milled so it doesn’t look cakey or emphasize texture. It blended out so easily. I am lucky enough that my skin doesn’t pull out orange tones very easily, so it didn’t look orange on me at all. However, I can see how this may pull quite orange on skin tones that are more fair than I am. So even though this works amazing for me, keep in mind that it does have an orange undertone and won’t work for every skin tone. If you want to see this bronzer swatched check out my Sephora VIB Sale Haul Post. Click Here!

3. Kat Von D Tattoo Liner In TrooperIMG_20170426_214045After finishing off my bronzer, blush and highlight I went back to the eyes and applied some eyeliner. On first impressions, this felt tip eyeliner has become my new favourite. The tip is dense enough where you have amazing control over it but thin enough that you can get a super precise application. For this look, I didn’t want a winged eyeliner because I loved how the eyeshadow turned out. Therefore, I wanted it to be the centre focus of this look. I absolutely loved how easy it was to get super close to my lash line! I felt like I had amazing control over it and wow, talk about it drying down super matte black! This created an amazing base for my Kiss 11 lashes that I applied after. A few days later I created a wing with this eyeliner. Creating my wing has never been so easy! You will see in future looks how it turned out!

4. Sephora Cream Lip Stain In Marvelous Mauve2017-04-27_22.15.41I finished this look off with this lip stain. I would personally say it is more like a long wearing matte liquid lipstick. I honestly thought that liquid lipstick formulas could not get any better than the Jeffree Star Cosmetics ones that I tested out a few blog posts back. Well, I was wrong! This is hands down amazing! It is super light weight and the precise dow foot applicator makes it easy to apply to the lips. It dries down matte, but it feels like a velvet cream. It is so comfortable! I wore this for 8 hours, and it did not feather or break down. It passed both the kiss and eating test! The colour paired so beautifully with this eye look because it has a mauve under tone. Needless to say, I was absolutely digging this whole look!

I hope you all enjoyed this fun, first impressions blog post that included a mini tutorial! When this was requested, I knew that I had to create this post for you all. Leave me a comment down below on requests for future blog posts. I would love your input ❤

Thank you so much for reading, Until Next time,

April Favourites

April Favourites

Hey beauty fam!

It’s the first day of May which means it is time to share my April favourites with you all ❤

What products have you been loving this month? Leave me a comment down below!

1. Wet N Wild Photofocus Foundation In Soft IvoryIMG_20170425_161335I have been using this foundation non-stop this month! It has definitely become one of my all-time favourite foundations. I love the unique spatula applicator; it allows me to put the perfect amount of foundation on my face and not waste any. I would say that it is a medium coverage. It blends in like a dream and the finish is stunning! My skin looks airbrushed when wearing it. The picture at the end of this blog post shows me wearing all of the products that I mention. I also love how weightless it is. I feel like I am wearing nothing on my face at all. This foundation wears beautifully all day and stays in place on the oily parts of my skin. It looks amazing in pictures too! It doesn’t cake up around my nose or cling to dry patches. The only downfall to this foundation is the fact that it smells like paint. The smell isn’t too strong, but you can definitely smell it. However, this foundation is so amazing that I can look past that. I highly recommend this foundation, especially because it is so affordable!

2. Covergirl Outlast All-Day Finishing Powder In Light-MediumIMG_20170425_161531This powder has been my everyday go-to this whole month! I bought it because Tati said it was amazing. She was definitely right! This powder is so smooth, and blends into the skin beautifully. It doesn’t make me look cakey at all. It is perfect for setting my under-eye concealer. It keeps my concealer from creasing all day. It also prevents my t-zone from becoming an oily mess throughout the day. It is very light weight and wears all day. This powder and the Wet N Wild foundation are the perfect match for each other!

3. Ofra Highlighter In Rodeo DriveIMG_20170425_161405I got this highlighter mid-month in my Boxycharm! It very quickly became the highlighter that I reach for all the time! This highlighter feels like silk and is very finely milled. It looks so smooth on the skin and it doesn’t emphasize my texture. This is definitely a blinding highlight, however I find it looks so beautiful on a natural makeup look. I am still mind blown at how amazing this highlighter is! I highly recommend this! Thank you Boxycharm.

4. Milani Baked Blush In LuminosoIMG_20170425_161753There are no other words for this blush other than stunning! It is a peachy-pink blush with very small glitters throughout. However, the glitter doesn’t translate to the skin. Instead, it gives you a radiant peachy glow. It is super smooth, pigmented, and blends out on the skin so easily. This was a new discovery for me this month and I honestly wish I had of got this sooner!

5. Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil In 3IMG_20170425_162036I got this pencil this month because I ran out of my L’oreal Brow Stylist pencil and wanted to try something different. I am so glad I did because this is way better than any brow pencil that I have ever tried! I love the shape of the pencil. It makes it so easy to fill in your brows. I love how the pointy end allows you to create a very thin stoke. This makes your brows look so natural. The pencil is super smooth and it doesn’t tug at my skin. This pencil lasts all day and I honestly don’t need to set this product with a brow gel. Doing my brows have never been so easy!

6. Wet N Wild Megalast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick In Nudist PeachIMG_20170425_161926IMG_20170428_001145This liquid lipstick formula is incredible! It is thin but super opaque and it dries down mate. However, it doesn’t make my lips uncomfortable or look cracked. Most of the time I forget that I am even wearing this. It lasts most of the day, and it passes the eating and kissing test. This lipstick is transfer proof and it doesn’t feather. If you are looking for a super affordable but amazing liquid lipstick, I highly suggest this line. I absolutely love the colour that I ended up picking up. It is the most beautiful nude-peachy-pink. It has a coral undertone but it is more on the neutral side. It is perfect for everyday wear, especially in the spring and summer. I will definitely be purchasing more colours!

7. Tarte Rainforest Of The Sea Color Splash Lipstick In Set SailIMG_20170425_162104IMG_20170428_001045It isn’t very often that I have 2 lip product favourites at once. This month I have been going back and fourth between this one and the Wet N Wild one. This lipstick is truly amazing! It is the most moisturizing but long wearing lipstick formula. I would say it is a satin finish, and it definitely isn’t transfer proof. However, like I said, it wears for a few hours before needing a top-up. It is by far the most comfortable lipstick that I own. It makes my lips feel more moisturized than a lip balm does. What drew me in to this product in the first place was the packaging. It is sooo beautiful! I am so glad the formula turned out to be just as nice as the packaging. The colour Set Sail is the perfect deep mauve-nude. It pairs very well with pretty much any makeup look. If you are looking for a new lipstick to add to your collection, I highly recommend this!

I used these products to create the following look:res_1493353166626

Well that wraps up this month’s favourites! Have you tried any of these products? If so, what do you think of them?

Thank you so much for reading. I hope you enjoyed this post.

Until next time,

-xo. Elizabeth

Sephora VIB Sale Haul

Sephora VIB Sale Haul

Hey beauty fam!

I thought I would take the time to show you what I just received in the mail from the Sephora VIB Sale that took place last week! I originally wasn’t going to get anything, but I honestly couldn’t pass up the 15% off since the sale is only twice a year. These are all products that I have been dying to try for a while now! Leave me a comment down below if you have tried any of these products. I haven’t tested these products out yet other than swatches; so I will be sure to update you on how they perform on the face! IMG_20170426_214709

1. Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance PaletteIMG_20170426_214534IMG_20170426_214314I honestly have no idea why I didn’t jump on this bandwagon sooner! I can now finally see why people rave about this continuously. There are a great mix of mattes and shimmers, as well as warm and cool tones. These eye shadows swatched beautifully! These are all single swipe swatches. They honestly feel like butter and are super pigmented. I can’t wait to see how these perform on the eyes!

2. Marc Jacobs O!Mega Bronzer Perfect Tan: Tantric 102IMG_20170426_214202IMG_20170426_214401I have been wanting this bronzer for so long now, so I thought this sale would be the perfect time to finally try it out. This bronzer is HUGEEE!! I was not expecting it to be that big. Considering how big it is, I definitely think you get your money worth in product. I can’t wait to see how this blends on the face! It is the perfect shade of matte bronzer. It isn’t too warm, but it also isn’t ashy. It swatched beautifully on my arm. The powder is very finely milled, and it feels like silk. This is my very first luxury makeup purchase!

3. Kat Von D Tattoo Liner In TrooperIMG_20170426_214045IMG_20170426_155201This is another product that I have been wanting for so long! Lately, I have been getting sick and tired of how difficult it is to control my NYC liquid liner tip, and how messy my winged liner is. Based off of testing it out on the arm, I can tell that you have great control with this tip. It is super pigmented, and after it dried I had a hard time getting it off my arm. This liner seems very promising and I can’t wait to see if it helps improve my winged eyeliner game.

4. Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stain In Marvelous MauveIMG_20170426_214006IMG_20170426_213856

I am currently still on the hunt for the perfect liquid lipstick formula for my lips. These cream stains have amazing reviews so I had to get one to try. I picked up the most beautiful mauve pink. On first impressions, I LOVE how this smells! It reminds me of vanilla cake. It dried down on my arm completely matte, but it didn’t feel too drying. Again, this looks like another promising product!

I hope you all enjoyed seeing what I picked up at the VIB sale! What did you pick up? I am so excited to go and try out all of these products now. I will be sure to keep you updated on what I think!

Thank you for reading, Until next time,

Jeffree Star Cosmetics & Manny MUA Collaboration: Is it worth the hype?

Jeffree Star Cosmetics & Manny MUA Collaboration: Is it worth the hype?

Hey beauty Fam!

I managed to get my hands on the new Jeffree Star Cosmetics, Manny MUA Collaboration and decided to give you all an in depth review to see if it is worth the hype! With two of my favourite Youtubers being Manny and Jeffree, I knew I had to get it. I also have never tried the brand, so I saw this as the perfect opportunity!

Getting hold of this bundle was quite tricky. I logged on at 2 minutes before the release time (10am PST, 1pm EST). I managed to get it in my cart right at the release time, but I still had to wait in line for 15 minutes! Very shortly after the bundle was sold out! Afterwards, all 3 components were sold separately until they were sold out too. The bundle is scheduled to come back sometime in May, so I thought I would test the products out and give you my thoughts before hand.

2017-04-24_15.57.54The bundle retails for $50, which allows you the opportunity to test out some Jeffree Star products for a cheaper price. If you buy each item individually it costs $65. Here is what the bundle includes (prices that are shown in this list are the original price of the individual item):

  1. Skin Frost In Eclipse: $29 peachy highlighter
  2. Velour Liquid Lipstick In “Daddy”: $18 a cool toned brown
  3. Velour Liquid Lipstick In “I’m Shook”: $18 a burnt coralIMG_20170424_003111The bundle came in the most beautiful holographic vault. The packaging is very sturdy, which allowed the product to get here without damage. The skin frost came in a matte black compact with the holographic logo on the front. It is huge! You can actually see your entire face in the mirror! The liquid lipsticks come in the limited edition packaging also. It has a twist and click style cap and a small, precise doe foot applicator. Here are the arm swatches of all 3. Down below, I review each product individually and let you know how they performed. IMG_20170424_003155

1. Skin Frost In Eclipse

I was very surprised with the formula of the skin frost. I was expecting it to be super soft and finely milled. On the finger it feels rough and glittery. I swirled my finger in it too much, and upon swatching it for the first time it was cakey/ gummy and immediately flaked off my arm. The second time I swatched it, I barely swirled my finger in it and the result on the arm was way better. Therefore, less is definitely more with this highlighter. res_1493007787140

The rough texture had me terrified to put it on the face. Normally when a highlighter feels this way it emphasizes the crap out of my skin texture. This highlight ended up looking beautiful on my skin. However, the journey to getting it on my face was a messy one! When I put my brush in it, glitter and fall out went everywhere. It got all over my shirt and the floor. I highly suggest you stick your brush in it over a sink to avoid this issue. It really bummed me out because I love the way it looks on my skin. It is the perfect peachy tone for me, and makes me feel like I have a J-lo glow! I will definitely be using it up because I love the end result on me, but if someone asks me if this highlighter is worth the hype I would have to say no. The formula really isn’t worth it in my opinion. I’m not sure if I just got a bad one or this is the case with his other skin frosts. 2. Velour Liquid Lipstick In “Daddy”

Okay, so the liquid lipsticks I can tell you right now are 100% worth the hype! I have a very hard time with liquid lipsticks because my lips are so dry no matter how much lip balm I put on them or no matter how much exfoliating I do. There are only a select few matte liquid lipsticks that are comfortable enough for me to wear and that don’t make me look like I have cracked flakey lips! These have very quickly become my FAVOURITE formula that I have tried!

The formula is extremely thin and lightweight. They are completely opaque in 2 light coats. Even though it dries down matte, it doesn’t sink in to the fine lines of my lips. For the first time wearing a liquid lipstick, it felt like I was wearing nothing! The best part is the fact that these do not feather or budge on me. They lasted all day, and passed the eating test. They are also transfer proof after drying down. The precise doe foot applicator makes them so easy to apply. I didn’t need to clean up the edges like I normally do.

So now that the formula talk is down, lets talk about the shade “Daddy.” It is a beautiful cool toned brown. I was scared to put it on, because a lot of brown toned liquid lipsticks that I have tried make me look dead and wash me out. This one didn’t though. It actually suited me quite well!

3. Velour Liquid Lipstick In “I’m Shook”

I definitely saved the best for last on this one! This is my favourite product out of the entire bundle! I would say this shade is a burnt coral-red. There isn’t much to say about this one other than the fact that I love it! If you are thinking about getting the bundle when it re-releases this lipstick is definitely something to get excited about. Out of all of the products, I would say this one is hands down the most worth it! Overall, I would say that the liquid lipsticks are worth the hype but the highlighter isn’t. Jeffree definitely knows how to create an amazing liquid lipstick that’s for sure! I will definitely be purchasing his summer collection when it releases!
